How to Take Sharper Photos
Webcam shutters stay open longer than phone cameras. To avoid blurry pictures:
- Sit facing a bright light source (such as a desk lamp or window) so the camera can use a fast shutter speed.
- Hold still for half a second when the countdown reaches zero.
- Clean your webcam lens with a soft microfiber cloth before taking passport or profile pictures.
Choosing the Right Aspect Ratio
16:9 (Widescreen) is ideal for YouTube thumbnails, presentations, and modern desktop wallpapers. 4:3 captures the full vertical view of many traditional webcam sensors without cropping. 1:1 (Square) produces ready-to-use profile pictures for Discord, LinkedIn, Instagram, or Slack.
