Pure White Screen
A clean, distraction-free pure white display. Use for monitor backlight uniformity inspection, locating physical dust particles on the panel, soft reading light, or color tracing.
How to Use This Tool
- Click "Enter Fullscreen White" to turn your entire display into a clean, solid white surface.
- Scan the panel for any tiny dark dots (dead pixels or trapped dust specks).
- Check the edges and corners to evaluate backlight uniformity (whether the corners appear dimmer or yellowed).
- Use the color temperature buttons (Warm 3000K, Neutral 5000K, Cool 6500K) to adjust the white tone to your liking.
- Press the ESC key or click anywhere to exit fullscreen mode.
Checking Backlight Uniformity (Dirty Screen Effect)
On budget monitors and edge-lit displays, LED backlights may not illuminate the panel perfectly evenly. A pure white screen makes it easy to spot dark corners (vignetting), yellow or pink color tints, or cloudy patches known as the "Dirty Screen Effect" (DSE).
Using Your Screen as a Video Call Light
If your room is dim during a Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet call, open this white screen on a second monitor or alongside your call window. It acts as an instant, diffuse softbox light that brightens your face naturally without casting harsh shadows.
Tracing & Lightbox Utility
A full-brightness white screen transforms your tablet or laptop into a convenient light box for tracing sketches, examining photographic film negatives, or inspecting watermarks on documents.
