Captured Frames Timeline (0 frames)
How to Use This Tool
- Click "Start Camera" and position your webcam securely on a stable surface or tripod.
- Choose a Capture Interval (e.g. every 1–2 seconds for sketching or cooking; every 10–30 seconds for 3D prints or clouds).
- Select your preferred Playback FPS (30 FPS gives standard smooth motion).
- Click "Start Time-Lapse" to begin capturing frames automatically.
- When done, click "Stop & Compile", preview the finished video, and click "Download Time-Lapse Video".
How to Calculate Time-Lapse Duration
At 30 FPS playback, every 30 captured photos produce 1 second of finished video. For example:
- 1 photo every 2 seconds for 10 minutes = 300 photos = 10 seconds of video.
- 1 photo every 5 seconds for 1 hour = 720 photos = 24 seconds of video.
Preventing Computer Sleep During Long Shoots
Because time-lapse shoots can run for hours, make sure your computer is plugged into power and your operating system's automatic sleep timer is temporarily set to "Never". If your screen shuts off, the browser may suspend camera frame capture to conserve battery.
Client-Side Video Compilation
All photos are captured and assembled directly inside your browser memory using HTML5 MediaRecorder and WebM/MP4 encoders. Your footage is 100% private and never transmitted over the internet.
